About BALUG-Announce	English (USA)
This is a low-volume* announce-only (non-discussion) mailing list for Bay Area Linux Users Group (BALUG) to make announcements to its members and anyone else interested. If you subscribe to any of BALUG's lists, you should subscribe to at least this list. (If you're subscribed to other BALUG list(s), but not this one we may subscribe you! See: BALUG-announce-do-not-auto-add.html, if you want to be exempted from that and/or for additional related information.) Items are generally limited to: o BALUG meeting announcements/programs/updates and occasionally reminders o BALUG "news" items of note o important announcements of key interest to BALUG members *approximately 1 to 3 e-mails per month - we aim to keep the average at or below 3 per month. Using BALUG-Announce
To post a message to all the list members, send email to balug-announce@lists.balug.org. You can subscribe to the list, or change your existing subscription, in the sections below.
Subscribing to BALUG-Announce
Subscribe to BALUG-Announce by filling out the following form. You will be sent email requesting confirmation, to prevent others from gratuitously subscribing you. This is a hidden list, which means that the list of members is available only to the list administrator. Your email address:   Your name (optional):   You may enter a privacy password below. This provides only mild security, but should prevent others from messing with your subscription. Do not use a valuable password as it will occasionally be emailed back to you in cleartext. If you choose not to enter a password, one will be automatically generated for you, and it will be sent to you once you've confirmed your subscription. You can always request a mail-back of your password when you edit your personal options. Once a month, your password will be emailed to you as a reminder.
