Ashok, in order for FreeS/WAN to work, you will need support for it
compiled into your kernel. There's two approaches to doing this: you can
use pre-build RPMs, or you can do it yourself with the installation notes.

You can find older FreeS/WAN RPMs at the following location:

  ftp://ftp.express.org/pub/packages/rh80/vpn/

The best place to look, if you need just FreeS/WAN & not PPTP, is:

  ftp://ftp.xs4all.nl/pub/crypto/freeswan/binaries/RedHat-RPMs/

Installing these RPMs will give you the kernel support you need. Also, I
would highly recommend subscribing to the FreeS/WAN mailing lists and
reading the documentation available on the freeswan.org site. You can
find links to the users mailing list on that site. FreeS/WAN is one of
the more difficult beasts to configure and get interoperating correctly,
and I think these resources will be very helpful in the process for you.
