[Balug-talk] Losing routes occasionally?

I'm running the current Debian stable release on a Fujitsu P2110,
kernel 2.4.18, and occasionally on the wireless interface (wlan0), my
default route will get dropped.

Wireless is configured as:

auto wlan0
iface wlan0 inet dhcp
        pre-up /sbin/wlanctl-ng wlan0 lnxreq_ifstate ifstate=enable
        pre-up /sbin/wlanctl-ng wlan0 lnxreq_autojoin ssid='' authtype=opensystem

I've poked a bit through my logs and haven't seen anything reporting
the drop. I assume it's the DHCP client doing something wonky, but am
not sure. This isn't a huge problem at home, where I know what the
default route is and can add it back in myself, but on foreign
networks it can be a pain (ie: on the T-Mobile connection at
Starbucks, if I fail to check the route I lose 15 minutes of paid time
because dropping and bringing up the interface again asks me to
relogin in, and the old login has to timeout).

Anyone got experience with this sort of thing?

Dan
