[balug-talk] 1U server recommendations

Someone at work just ordered a new Dell 1U.  Dual core, 1Gb RAM, 80 Gb
SATA.  It was under $900 shipped, with 3 yr next day on site service.

All our production boxes are AMD64.  We've used boxes from Iron Systems and
are now looking at Penguin Computing.
We had trouble with Debian on the DL145 and HP will not support Debian in
any shape or form.
Same goes for IBM, apparently.

If anyone is running debian on the DL145, I'd love to hear from you.  We had
weird issues (would show only 3Gb memory and 3 cores, when it had 4 of each)
and could not get around them.
