Hi Rick,

Thank you for speaking with me today.

I am contacting you to see if you know of any technical people in the San Francisco area who could participate in a beta test of a new IBM web portal (information pages). Please see the details below, and they may contact me to sign up. One person per company.

Sincerely,
Pat

IBM will be conducting a beta test for a new web portal (info center). We are looking for customers (and business partners) who currently use more than one of the sites below.

Project #6041: Beta council for information portal: San Francisco area only

We are putting together a small group to test a new information portal for
IBM. We are looking for people who currently use more than one of the
following sites.

a.. i5/OS Info Center (or sometimes called iSeries InfoCenter)http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/iseries/v5r4/index.jsp)
b.. AIX InfoCenter (or sometimes call pSeries InfoCenter)http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/pseries/v5r3/index.jsp)
 c.. DS8000 InfoCenterhttp://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/dsichelp/ds8000ic/index.jsp)
d.. IBM Systems Hardware InfoCenter (about Power5 hardware)http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/eserver/v1r3s/index.jsp)
e.. IBM Systems Software InfoCenter (contains information about VE and
Director)http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/eserver/v1r2/index.jsp)

The participant would attend a "kick-off" meeting on July 25 (plan on
all day/lunch provided) in San Francisco. Thereafter, he/she would use
the new web portal during normal work (instead of the old sites), give
IBM feedback once or twice a month (online survey + telephone conference
with IBM developers), and have a final meeting (San Francisco) one day
in mid December to end the test.

If you can accept payment for this, IBM is offering $500, but the
important thing is to help mold and design the information pages you
will be using.
