No.  I took from the original email the message that the existing  
system was not actually working very well.  If everything is working  
great, and meeting the needs of its user base, as you suggest, then  
it should probably be left alone.

The rest (assuming the current system is not working that well and  
should be replaced) is a question of Linux vs. Windows total cost of  
ownership, which I have no desire to debate with you.  There are  
plenty of resources available on both sides with respect to that  
question.
