[balug-talk] Raid or not? Comperhending output from /proc/mdstat

I'm trying to determine if a particular linux installation is
using software raid.  I don't think it does, but I'd like to 
check if I'm reading this right:

  cat /proc/mdstat
  Personalities : [raid0] 
  md0 : inactive sdb2[1]
        70501120 blocks super non-persistent
       
  unused devices: <none>

Any opinions?  

More data: /etc/mdstat is an empty directory.

(The story: this box was originally ordered with two sata drives set up
using raid 0, but that was with a Fedora installation that turned out to
be horrendous.  I replaced it with a Kubuntu install, using the default
choices, as I remember it: my theory is that this put an ext3
installation on just one of the disks, and ignored the other.)
