hi
Some of you might remember me from BALUG meetings. I spoke at one meeting
about the Digital Tipping Point Video project. I was also at the last
meeting at which James Burgett spoke. But I just haven't been on this list
until now.
I wanted to let you all know that on this Saturday, meaning two days from
now, we will have a FOSS demo for low income people at St. St. Anthony's
learning center, details below. St. Anthony's has done a lot of outreach to
bring non-profits and low-income people there, so if you have ever wanted to
do outreach in a nice, simple compressed form, just one day, no follow-up
responsibilities, this would be it. We will be installing FOSS on old boxes
that people bring in, and we will be handing out pressed Ubuntu CDs. The
link below has some more info as to what you might want to bring.
I am also going to be filming for the Digital Tipping Point film, so if you
show up, please try to wear solid light colored blue or green or beige
shirts. Patterns are bad, white is awful, and dark colors aren't great.
Thanks either way.
