I think we'd likely be rather to quite interested.

You can glance at:

to get a rough idea of scheduling/planning (we often don't meet in
December, and sometimes there's a date adjustment due to
Chineese New Year timing vs. our meeting venue).  It would appear most of
our future dates are open, in terms of speaker, at least at the moment.

You can also e-mail the folks listed there as the
"Speaker Coordinators" (at least two of those e-mail addresses
are on the main BALUG page - and you've also got mine now).
