RSVPs aren't required ... we don't even really have a mechanism
in place to "accept"/request them presently.

Historically BALUG had an RSVP system (I think just an e-mail
alias), but as our meetings haven't been so huge in more recent
years (as compared to when we had Linus come to the meeting!),
I don't think there's been a particular need for an RSVP system
(the restaurant can handle pretty large crowds ... so long as we don't
hit them too overwhelmingly by surprise with an unusually larger than
typical crowd/gathering size for the BALUG meetings, we're probably fine
without needing to have an RSVP system).
