[BALUG-Talk] performance issues with using 32bit kernel on 64bit processor

"Performance" is much too broad a concept to make any kind of  
meaningful reply.

I would suggest writing around 200-500 words about your application,  
platform (hardware) and software, workload, requirements, etc.  You  
have to understand that this is a volunteer forum.  There is a  
tremendous amount of relevant knowledge and experience here, but to  
get anything useful out of it, you have to be willing to put in more  
effort in terms of presenting all the relevant information and  
background.  And since you are the one asking for help, you probably  
aren't in a position to necessarily know what is relevant and what  
isn't, so err on the side of more information, not less.

Is there a HOWTO about how to ask for help on a user group mailing  
list?  There should be.
