[BALUG-Talk] Ubuntu Community Day at LinuxWorld

Greetings,

I just found out that over 1,100 people have signed up for the Ubuntu
community day at LinuxWorld, ie. the UbuCon, on August 7. The goals
are different, but I'm wondering if Christian and/or Andrew would be
willing to speak to this audience about the Ubuntu in schools
initiative.

I'm wondering if there's any way we can work together - what I can
offer at the UbuCon is a room to do a proper tutorial, so if you know
of any educators interested in attending LinuxWorld, this might be a
great venue to do tutorials of interest to them.

Here's the UbuCon reg link:

And here's the page with all the info on the community days:

Thanks,
John Mark Walker

The first ACCRC/Untangle Installfest for Schools in March refurbished 350 Ubuntu computers for schools[1]. This time we've gotten a large booth on the expo floor and will have workstations setup for volunteers to refurbish recycled computers with Ubuntu and GnewSense. We particularly need help with the following:

PIII and newer systems will be refurbished with Ubuntu for schools. Older systems will be recycled properly by the ACCRC.
