That's the best way to do it (assuming you feel the need to address
multiple mailing lists), yes.
(Just to be clear, there is no actual rule against any such practice.)

It's true, that it can get boring to see the same, exact posting showing
up on half a dozen Bay Area technical community mailing lists. For
example, several Bay Area Linux user groups post their monthly meeting
announcements that way. However, life's imperfect. ;-> Thank you for
thinking of that concern.
