Actually, I did too, but I'd left college before they got a TCP/IP
feed, so only via friends who said "hey, can you help me figure this
out?" and by the time I started an ISP to get on the web Mosaic was
quickly taking market share. (Experimental KA9Q setups with friends in
the BBS scene don't really count).

However, I do remember that there was a lot of good information out
there that was only on Gopher, and that the lack of pictures served as a
filter to make the quality of content on Gopher better.

But then I still fire up Lynx regularly...
