If you don't want to be added as a subscriber to BALUG-Announce based
upon our finding your email address(es) subscribed to BALUG-Talk and/or
BALUG-Admin, but not BALUG-Announce, then drop us a note to:
balug-announce-do-not-auto-add@balug.org
noting which email address(es) of yours we shouldn't add to
BALUG-Announce and why (and try to use a clear and relevant
non-spam-like Subject: so we don't accidentally miss or dismiss your
email message), and we'll add your noted email address(es) to our
exception list so that we don't add you to BALUG-Announce based upon
your being subscribed to BALUG-Talk and/or BALUG-Admin but not
BALUG-Announce.
In general, if one is subscribed to BALUG-Talk and/or BALUG-Admin, one should also be subscribed to BALUG-Announce, as BALUG-Announce will include important and potentially time-sensitive announcements, etc., which generally are not also sent to the other BALUG lists. We've created the subscription policy and exception process to help ensure folks don't miss important announcements, and to also allow for reasonable accommodation of individual preferences (e.g. one may want to use different subscription options and/or different subscription email addresses on different lists).
Getting yourself added to our exception list doesn't prevent one from manually subscribing and/or unsubscribing from any of our lists - it merely prevents us from adding you to BALUG-Announce based upon being subscribed to BALUG-Talk and/or BALUG-Admin but not BALUG-Announce.
If you've requested to be added to our exception list, and later wish
to be removed from the exception list, just drop us a note to the same
address:
balug-announce-do-not-auto-add@balug.org
clearly stating that (and again, also with appropriate Subject:) and
for which email address(es), and we'll remove you from the exception
list.
