 Software Engineer (Driver Development)

You will be responsible for designing, developing and enhancing Fibre
Channel, iSCSI and SCSI initiator and target drivers and providing OS
support for our high-end Utility Storage Server products. Outside 3PAR,
you may interact with Fibre Channel and iSCSI card suppliers such as
QLogic, LSI Logic etc. Understanding the Linux driver model and the
various Fibre Channel and iSCSI cards will be your initial challenge.

Requirements:

*	BSCS/EE or equivalent and 4+ years experience in driver
development 
*	Good commercial experience with UNIX Kernel 
*	Excellent C/C++ programming skills 
*	Experience with UNIX drivers 
*	FC driver experience  

Preferred:

*	MSCS/EE 
*	iSCSI driver experience 
*	Multi-pathing driver experience 
*	Experience with volume management 
*	Linux driver experience 

Start-up experience
 
 

Software Engineer - Kernel Development


 

 

Description:

 

3PAR is actively seeking an experienced software engineer for its kernel
group. This person will be working on the development and support of
3PAR's virtual volume's kernel implementation and its supporting
utilities.

 

Requirements:

 

*	BSCS, CE, EE or equivalent technical degree (MS preferred). 
*	3 - 8 years in system software design, implementation. 
*	Must have worked in at least one of the following areas: kernel
internal and/or major database internal.  
*	 Work experience in cluster software fail over/recovery or data
base recovery is a plus.  
*	 Must have experience with inter-thread locking/synchronization
primitives in a multi-threaded software environment.

 Must be proficient in C and debugging tools/skills.
