[BALUG-Talk] SF to pay Oracle $10M+ for more licenses?

Hi guys, I noticed this agenda item for today's SF Board of
Supervisors meeting. Seems like they've been asked to kick down an
additional 10 million bucks, on top of the 5 million already paid, for
more Oracle licenses. Is anyone in the know about this, or planning to
attend the meeting?

Resolution authorizing the Controller to enter into the Tenth
Amendment of a software
license and support agreement with Oracle America, Inc., for perpetual software
licenses and software support services for the Controller’s Emerge
Project, extending
the contract term of November 16, 2007, through April 22, 2016, by
five years through
April 22, 2021, and increasing the maximum expenditure by $4,300,892
to $14,287,737.
