As I've mentioned, during the pandemic, I've found that the most reliable source of _updated_ information about business open hours is Google Maps. (By contrast, hours-of-operation information shown on Yelp and on businesses' own Web sites has very often been outdated and unreliable.) Checking there today concerning BALUG's traditional meeting/dinner venue, Henry's Hunan Restaurant, 110 Natoma Street between New Mongomery and 2nd Streets, SOMA, SF, I see newly expanded hours of operation:
Sunday Closed Monday 11AM–3PM, 5–8PM Tuesday 11AM–3PM, 5–8PM Wednesday 11AM–3PM, 5–8PM Thursday 11AM–3PM, 5–8PM Friday 11AM–3PM, 5–8PM Saturday Closed
The restaurant's Web site confirms that. https://www.hhunannatoma.com/
Well, that is actually feasible for an _early start_ BALUG dinner, right? 6:30 - 8pm?
It's understandable they're going slow on resuming evening operation because they depend on downtown customers, which is mostly lunch.
A Google Maps reviewer from Feb. 2022 commented "Have proof of vaccine if you wish to eat dine-in." (Good!) That is not otherwise noted on either the restaurant Web site or the Google Maps entry, however. The latter says only "Health & Safety: Mask required." However, Yelp's entry says "Proof of vaccination required." Yelp adds that the expanded hours took effect February.
Henry's Hunan at 1016 Bryant near 8th Street (SoMa) is open daily (except Sundays) 11:30am-3pm and 5:30-_9pm_.
Henry's Hunan at 1708 Church Street near 29th Street (Noe Valley) is open daily 11am-_9:30pm_.
I regret to say that the alternate Henry's Hunam at 4753 Mission Street (Excelsior Dist.) that I suggested some months ago has closed, according to both Google Maps and Yelp.
So, folks, how about a BALUG meeting?
