Well, I e-mailed several contacts and such regarding potential speaker (two vendor contacts at Hewlett-Packard, Bay Area Debian list, O'Reilly User Group Program contact person), updated the BALUG web site, and also put out a (mini-)"announcement" (correction) on the BALUG "announce" list - also mentioning that we could be contacted with information on speaker or potential speaker leads. With a bit of luck, I/we will hopefully get someone lined up for the Aug. 15th meeting, and hopefully at least a bit in advance so we can get out an updated announcement regarding speaker with at least a bit of lead time to let folks know, and perhaps also to promote at least a bit at LinuxWorld (e.g. via some group(s)/vendor(s)/distribution(s) that will be present at LinuxWorld).
