Jim, I had first made contact with Patrick and then letting others continue the scheduling. Ann E. W. has said she did the miss scheduling for August meeting.
But I think Patrick says that he would do the October meeting.
As to my opion who should speak I could go for any you suggested in today balug-admin posting.
Am I wrong in my thought that Patrick saying hr would speak in October?

Hi Larry,
Oct 17th looks good on my schedule. The anniversary of the 1989 earthquake seems appropriate somehow. ;-)
I look forward to seeing you at the show on the 16th. Ann, I hope you feel better. :-)

Thanks for the note.
The Splunk LinuxWorld party, which I'm managing, is indeed taking place on the 15th in the evening.
I regret, with the timing mixup, that I will not to be able to speak on the 15th. I am still very interested in participating at a future event. Perhaps October or November. (Sept will likely be tough with the pregnancy). Let me know if either of those times work for you.
BTW: Splunk , DIGG, Slash, USENIX and others are having a contest called SysAdmin of the year. Www.sysadminoftheyear.com. The first 2500 nominations receive a free THinkgeek Tshirt. It might be of interest to your LUG.
Are you going to be at LinuxWorld. Perhaps we can meet there.
